Received some really sad news from Glasgow City Council re the summer On Yer Bike programme. It looks as though the plug is about to be pulled, discussions continue regarding budgets and the like within the Culture and Leisure, Outdoor service. It looks like the programme posted in the earlier posting will be cancelled. I'm not sure of all the details but understand those who have made bookings and have made use of the trips and cycle training sessions in the past will be contacted in writing in the near future regarding the councils plans.
It is sad that this unique programme is about to cancelled. There is some hope that some of the councils cycling input may be delivered in other ways in the future.
